We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with third-party marketers. And we will never call you from a number you don’t recognize.

We collect information in two ways: information you provide directly, and information collected automatically when you browse our site.

Information You Provide

When you use our online tools, call us, submit a question, or schedule an appointment, you may provide:

  • Your name, phone number, and email address
  • Your age, date of birth, and Medicare eligibility status
  • Your county and zip code (for plan availability lookup)
  • Household income information (for ACA subsidy estimation only)
  • Prescription drug names (for Part D and Medicare Advantage cost comparison)
  • Doctor and hospital names (for in-network verification)
  • SMS consent status — if you check the consent checkbox in our calculator tools

You are never required to provide a Social Security Number on this website. Any income or drug information you enter into our calculators is used solely to generate your estimate and is not permanently stored on our servers.

Information Collected Automatically

When you visit our website, standard web technologies automatically collect certain information, including:

  • Your IP address and general geographic region
  • Browser type, operating system, and device type
  • Pages visited, time spent on each page, and referring URLs
  • Search queries that brought you to our site (via Google Search Console)
  • Google Analytics data including session duration, bounce rate, and traffic source

GenerationHealth.me does not collect Social Security Numbers or Medicare ID numbers through this website. If a page you find online asks for your SSN to “compare Medicare plans,” that is not us.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide and improve our services. Specifically, we use your information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide Medicare or ACA plan guidance
  • Generate cost estimates through our Medicare Cost Estimator and ACA Subsidy Calculator tools
  • Verify that your current doctors and prescriptions are covered under plans you’re considering
  • Schedule and confirm appointments via Calendly
  • Send SMS messages if you have provided explicit written consent (see Section 10)
  • Send appointment reminders and follow-up communications relevant to your coverage question
  • Analyze website traffic and improve the content, layout, and tools on this site
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations applicable to licensed insurance agents in North Carolina

We never use your information to market products unrelated to your inquiry. We do not contact you after your question is resolved unless you have requested ongoing assistance or provided SMS consent for plan-related updates.

Service Providers

We work with a small number of trusted technology providers who help us operate this website and deliver services. These providers access your data only as necessary to perform their functions and are contractually prohibited from using it for any other purpose.

Insurance Carriers

If you choose to enroll in a plan with our assistance, we share the minimum information required by the carrier to complete enrollment. We will always tell you which carrier your information is being submitted to before doing so. We are licensed to place business with multiple carriers — your data is not broadcast to all of them.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, or valid legal process, including to comply with a subpoena, court order, or government request. We will notify you of any such request to the extent permitted by law.

⚠ What We Never Do

We never share your phone number with lead aggregators, call centers, or third-party insurance marketing firms. If you’re getting calls from multiple insurance agents after submitting a Medicare quote request somewhere online, that was not us.

Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your browsing experience and analyze site traffic. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser.

Types of Cookies We Use

  • Strictly necessary cookies: Required for the website to function. These cannot be disabled. They include session management, security tokens, and Cloudflare CDN optimization.
  • Analytics cookies: Google Analytics tracks how visitors use our site — which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, and how they arrived. This data is aggregated and anonymized. We use it to improve our content.
  • Functionality cookies: We use cookies to remember your preferences, such as font size settings, across visits.
  • Marketing cookies: If you arrive through a Google Ads click, Google places a conversion tracking cookie to measure whether that click led to a phone call. This data is used only by GenerationHealth.me to optimize ad spending.

Managing Cookies

Data Security

We take the security of your personal information seriously. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.

  • All data transmitted between your browser and this website is encrypted via TLS (HTTPS)
  • Client records are stored in Supabase with row-level security and access controls
  • Our CRM platform uses API key authentication and does not expose client records publicly
  • SMS communications are transmitted through Twilio’s encrypted infrastructure
  • We do not store full payment card numbers or Social Security Numbers

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. If you believe your information has been compromised, please contact us immediately at (828) 761-3326 or robert@generationhealth.me.

🔒 Data Retention

We retain client records for the period necessary to provide ongoing insurance services and to comply with NC insurance regulatory requirements. If you would like your records deleted, contact us at the information in Section 11 and we will process your request within 30 days.

Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11.

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information in your records.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to our legal and regulatory obligations as a licensed insurance agent.
  • Opt out of SMS: Reply STOP to any SMS message to immediately stop receiving text messages. See Section 10 for full details.
  • Opt out of email communications: Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or contact us directly.
  • Data portability: Upon request, we will provide your contact and coverage record data in a readable format.

We will respond to any rights request within 30 days. We do not charge a fee to process reasonable requests.

Children’s Privacy

GenerationHealth.me is a Medicare and ACA insurance information and advisory service intended for adults age 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18.

If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us immediately at robert@generationhealth.me and we will promptly delete that information.

Third-Party Links

Our website contains links to external websites, including Medicare.gov, CMS.gov, SSA.gov, the NC Department of Insurance, and various insurance carrier sites. These are provided as references for your convenience.

We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these external sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any website you visit through a link on our pages.

Our website also links to Calendly for appointment scheduling and SunFire Matrix for plan comparison. Both platforms have their own privacy policies that govern how they handle data you enter on their platforms.

SMS / Text Message Communications

GenerationHealth.me sends SMS text messages only to individuals who have provided explicit written consent through our online tools. This section describes how consent is obtained, what messages you may receive, and how to opt out at any time.

How You Opt In

You may opt in to receive SMS messages by completing the Medicare Cost Estimator or the ACA Subsidy Calculator on this website. On the final step of each tool, you must check an unchecked SMS consent checkbox before submitting. The checkbox reads:

“By submitting this form, I agree to receive SMS text messages from Generation Health at (828) 761-3326 regarding my insurance coverage, appointment reminders, and plan follow-ups. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Consent is not required to receive services.”

The checkbox is unchecked by default. You cannot submit the form without actively checking it. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of receiving insurance information or services.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity and the insurance calendar. You may receive up to 4–6 messages per month. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive one final confirmation message and no further texts will be sent. You may also opt out by contacting us directly at (828) 761-3326 or robert@generationhealth.me.
